An Ordinance Authorizing the Board of Public Affairs to Contract
for the Purchase of a Sufficient Amount of Calcium Chloride
with which to Treat the Roads and Streets in the New
City Park, Appropriating the Cost Thereof, and
for other purposes.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. The Board of Public Affairs of the City of Lit-
tle Rock is hereby authorized and directed to contract with White -
law Bros. for the purchase of sufficient calci m chloride to treat
the streets, roads and alleys in the New City Park, and out of the
$300,000 heretofore appropriated for -the purpose of purchasing and
equipping a park, the sum of $1356, or as much thereof as may be
needed, shall be used for said purpose, and the Mayor and City
Clerk are hereby authorized and directed, in accordance with the
provisions of Ordinance No. 3359, to execute and deliver to Whitelaw
Bros. the City's warrant or warrants for the amount contracted to be
paid for said cAlcium chloride, and to execute and deliver to the
receiving freight agent or agents such amount as may be necessary to
pay carrying charges thereupon, total amount of said warrants is-
sued not to exceed the sum of $1356.00.
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and after its passage.
