AN ORDINANCE GRANTING PERMISSION TO M. M. EBERTS POST #1, AU- MSAS DEPARTIAT T, THE
A ERICA LEGION, TO INSTALL FLAG STAFF .HOUS INGS IN SIDDVALKS, AND TO SELL AMT-RICAN
FLAGS, COITLETE FOR DECORATIVE PURPOSES.
BIB IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
SECTION 1. That representatives of the M. M. Eberts post #1, Arkansas
Department, The American Legion, are hereby given permission to drill holes in
the sidewalks of this city, and to place therein joints of pipes, or housing,
suitable for serving as a housing for United States Flags. The said housing to
be cemented securely in place and provided with a metal cap to cover same, the
same. cap to close hole completely flush with the top of eiiid sidewalk; the said
housing to be placed uniformly in the sidewalk in the business and residential
blocks of this city; and all of said work to be done under the supervision of the
City Engineer.
SECTION 2. Permission is hereby granted to the duly credited represent-
ative of M. M. Eberts Post #1, Arkansas Department, The American Legion, to canvass
in all parts of this city for the sale of American Flags.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed only insofar as they affect this ordinance, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
