rin Ordinance Laying Off Certain Portions of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, into an Improvement District and Designating
the Property Embraced Therein; Said District to be Known as
Street Improvement District
WH_17,11EEAS, ten or more o,"ners of real property within that
portion of the city of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereinafter described
have petitioned the Council of the City of Little Rocs, 1`_rkansas,
to take steps toward the making of local improvements therein by
paving, :,,rith concrete or with concrete base and asphaltic surface,
as the commissioners may deem to be to the best intere -ts of the
district, the follo:,ring streets lying within said district:
Crestwood Drive from the east side of Prospect Avenue to the
east side of Beech :Street, and
Jackson, Monroe, Spruce, Palm and Beech street-, from the
south side of Cantrell Road to the north side of Creat-ivood Drive,
and all intersections of aforesaid streets.

Section 1. That Street Improvement District STo. 405 of
the city of Little Rock, Arkansas, be and the same is hereby created
and established for the purpose of paving with concrete or with
concrete base and asphaltic surface, as the commissioners may deem
to be to the best interests of the district, the following streets:
Crest: .-food Drive from the east side of Prospect Avenue to the
east s-'-.de of Beech Street, and
Jackson, Monroe, Spruce, Palm and Beech streets from the
south side of Cantrell Road to the north side of Crestwood Drive,
and all intersections of aforesaid streets, in accordance faith the
act of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas, entitled "An
Act to regulate the ]:`arner of Assessing Real Propert.� for Local
Improvements in Cities of First and Second Class, Approved March
22nd, 1881, and Amendments Thereto."

Section 2. That the :District hereby created, laid off
and established shall include that portion and only that portion
of the city of Little mock, Arkansas, heresy designated as follows:
Lots 1 to 114, (both inclu ive) Cliffewcod, an addition
to Little Rock, and
A tract of land beginning at the northeast corner of
Section 31, T. 2 IT., R. 12 W., run south 739 feet along the section
line to the point of beginning; thence -north 8E degrees 56 minutes
west 326.3 feet to the northeast corner of Cliffewood; thence south
1 degree 30 minutes west 982 feet to the southeast corner of
Cliffewood; thence east 327 feet, more or less, and to the east
line of said Section 31; thence north along the east line of said
Section 31, 982 feet, more or less, and to the point of beginning,
containing 71 acres, more or less.
And all the real property so described shall compose said
district anct shall be subject to the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinarices in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and after its passage and yublication
and the clergyk, of the city of Little Rock is hereby ordered, within
20 days from the passage of this ordinance to publish the same in
some.. newspaper of general circulation published in Pulaski County
for one insertion.
