WHEIRh! -%S, a majority of the owners of real property ad-
joining the locality to be affected. and situated within the
Elm Street and South Lookout Avenue Annex to Street Improve-
ment District No. 335 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
said property being described as follows:
Lots One (1), Two (2), Three (3), Four (4), Five (5),
Six (6), Seven (7), and Eight (8), Block One (1);
Lots Eleven (11), Twelve (12), Thirteen (13), Fourteen
(14), Fifteen (15), Sixteen (16), Seventeen (17), Eighteen
(18), and Nineteen (19), Block Two (2), Replat of Doyle
Place; also a part of Elm Street running from the South
property line of South Lookout Avenue in a Northerly direc-
tion, a distance of One Hundred Seventy -Eight (178) Feet,
all in Replat of Doyle Place, which adjoins Street Improve-
ment District No. 335 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
organized and annexed for the purpose of making local im-
provements therein by doing the necessary draining and pav-
ing with the material and in the manner that the Commission-
ers of said. Street Improvement District No. 335 shall deem
to be for the best interests of the territory annexed, on
Elm Street from the South prom rty line of South Lookout
Avenue and running in a Northerly direction a distance of
One Hundred Seventy -Eight (178) feet; on South Lookout Ave-
nue from the East property line of Elm Street to the East
property line of Lot Eight (8), Block One (1), produced in
a Northerly direction; also by putting down and constructing
concrete sidewalks on the North and South sides of South
Lookout Avenue, from the East line of Elm Street to the East
property line of Lot Eight (8) Block One (1), all in Replat
of Doyle Place, Little Rock, Arkansas, have petitioned the
City Council of Little Rock for the construction of said

improvement and that the cost thereof shall. he assessed upon
the real property within said annexed territory according to
the benefits received;
WHE,hhAS, said benefits received by each and every block,
lot and parcel of real property situated within said annexed
territory equals or exceeds the legal assessment thereon;
WHEhEAS, the estimated cost of said improvement, exclusive
of interest is Fourteen Thousand, Two Hundred Ninety -Eight
Dollars and Forty Cents ($14,298.40), which together with the
estimated cost of the improve went in Street Improvement Dis-
trict No. 335, is less than sixty ( 60 a) of the value of the
real property in said District No. 335, and the annexed ter-
ritory combined, as shown by the last county assessment, and
is less than One Hundred (100 160 of the value of the real pro-
perty in said annexed territory, as shown by the last county
assessment;

Section is That the said several blocks, lots and par-
eels within said Elm Street and South Lookout Avenue Annex
to Street Improvement District No. 335, be, and they are here-
by assessed according to the assessment list for said Elm
Street and South Lookout Avenue Annex to said improvement
district, as the same now remains in the office of the City
Clerk nf the City of Little Rock, and as the same may be
annually readjusted by the board of Assessors, and that Nine
(9�) per centum of said assessment of the value of the bene-
fits of each of said blocks, lots and parcels of land shall
be paid annually on o?• before the First day of November of
each ,year, with the exception of the first assessment, which

shall be paid on or before the Fifteenth day of December,
1924, for ten (10) years, or until Ninety (90%) per centum
of said assessment shall have been paid. The first annual
payment shall be made on or before the Fifteenth day of
December, 1924.
The City C1er'�c is hereby authorized and directed to
deliver the assessment book, now on file wit'_i him, to the
City Collector wit'Zin ten (10) days from date hereof.
Section 2: That all ordinances or parts or ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
