Said inspector shall be a- anointed by the mayor and arrroved by the City Council. His term of office shall be tr•o (2) ye -lrs, from the first day of Play of the ,yel:r of apnoint- in-nt, and the said inspector shall thereafter be appointed bi- annually before the first day of Yay. The inspections and tests shell be as follows: The sewer, after it is laid and joined and before it is covered. The trap may be placed in the floor with clearnout on surface, or may be placed under floor, -provided there is sufficient space so that trap screw is accessible for clernin[~ purposes. SECTION 15. All closet bowls that have traps ,Ibove floor :rust be connected with waste line by means of a cast brass flan,-e, soldered to the lead and bolted to the closet flange. SEC`"ION 16. Frost proof closets may be used in detached buildings not used for human habitation. SECTION 20. In old e,ork where it is impracticable to vent a fixture trap a non syphon trap my be used. The '-type of trap will be specified. SECTION 22. The %mater piping connected with the plumbing system must be of lead, brass or galvanized iroi., and black nine or fittir4 s must not be used in the water lines. The waste nipe from an ice box or refris�erator shall not be connected direct with box, or sewer, but must discharge into a movable pan and may be convected with sink or floor drain that has sewer con.,jection.
