ARKANSAS, AND TO EE KNOWN AS ANNEX NO.
DISTRICT 110. 516 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
BECOME A PART THEREOF.

ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND TO
WHEREAS, gersons claiming to be a majority in.value of the
owners of real property within the territory hereinafter
described, which property adjoins Street Improvement District
No. 516 of the City of Little Rock, .Arkansas, a duly created
and existing improvement district in said city, and is
contiguous thereto, desire to be added to and included in said
improvement district and have filed a petition with the City
Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, praying t."ia.t
said territory be annexed to said improvement district, have
designated the nature of the improvement to be undertaken,
and have described the territory to be annexed; and,
"TJIEREAS the City Council has directed the city clerk to publish
for two weeks in some newspaper issued and having general
circulation in Pulaski County, a notice calling upon the
property owners within said territory to appear before this
Council on this day and show cause for or agginst auch
annexati on; and
a=EAS, such notice has been duly published and this is the
time for the hearing to determine whether those signing said
petition constitute the majority in value of the owners of real
property in said ltrriitory; and,
WHEREAS, this Council has heard all persons who desire to
be heard upan the question of whether the signers of said
petition constitute such a majority; and,
1111EREAE', this Council has ascertained that said signers
do constitute such majority -as shown by both the record of
deeds and by actual ownership and that the said property
embraced in said petition is contiguous to Street Improve-
ment District No. 516 of the City of Little Rock, .Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. That this City Council has ascertained that the
signers of the petition to annex the property hereinafter
described to Street Improvement District No. 516 of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, do constitute a majority in
value of tale owners of real property within the territory
sought to be annexed; that said petition is in due form
an d properly signed by a maj ority of the owners of re al
property as required by law.
SECTION 2. That all real property described:tas follows,
to -wit.
Lots 1,?, 3,10,11 and 12, inclusive, in block 294;
Lots 7,8,9,10,11 and 12, inclusive, in block 295;
Lots 4,5 and 6, inclusive, in block 257:
Lots 182 and 3, inclusive, in block 258, in the
original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, all in the
County of Pulaski and State of Arkansas
be and the same is hereby added to and annexed to Street
Improvement District No. 516 of the City of Little Rock,,
Arkansas, and the commissioners of said district shall
proceed to make the improvements petitioned for by building
and rebuilding the curbs and gutters, constructing and
repairing of drainage and paving West Second Street, from
the east side of Ringo Street to the east side of Cross Street
said improvement to be done in such manner and with such
materials as the Commissioners of Street Improvement Aistri.ct
No. 516 may deters -dine to be for-the' best interest of the
districts so annexed and the improvement to be of such
material as the commissioners shall determine to be for
the best interest of the district.

SECTION 3. That said territory hereby annexed shall
known as Annex IIo. 1 to Street Improvement Districtrl
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and become a p
thereof as if originall�r embraced v ithin the distri c
SDITION 4. That the commissioners shall make the ass
went:, of benefits for said improvements on the lots,
or parcels of real property in the territory herein
annexed on the same basis as if said territory were
in the original district and shall file said assesses
with the city clerk.
SFCTIOIF 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinance
conflict herewith are hereby rellealed, and this or.di:
shall take effect and be in force fron4 and after its
passage, and the city clerk is hereby ordered within twenty
days after the passage of this ordinance to publish the
same in some newspaper published in the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, for one insertion.
