I nN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
STREET IMPROVEIENT DISTRICT
NO. ',19
VMREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of a majority
in assessed value of the property located within the territory here-
inafter described have filed a petition praying that an improvement
district be established for the purpose hereafter set out.
AREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City Coun-
cil of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all parties
desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition was
signed by a majority of more than fifty per cent (50%) in assessed
value of the owners of real property within said territory;
NOW) THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKLNSAS.
Section 1. There is hereby established an improvement dis-
trict embracing the following property:
Beginning at a point on the east side of Cross Street,
midway between 1darkham andSecond Streets; thence east
to the southwest corner of Lot 3, Block 101; thence
south to the southwest corner of Block 101; thence east
to the southeast corner of Block 101; thence north to
the southeast corner of Lot 10, Block 101; thence east
to the southeast corner of Lot 10, Block 78; thence north
to the northeast corner of Lot 12, Block 79; thence west
to the northeast corner of Lot 12, Block 80; thence north
to the northeast corner of Block 80; thence west to the
northeast corner of Block 99; thence south to the north-
east corner of Lot 9, Block 99; thence west to the north-
east corner of Lot 12, Block 121; thence north to the
northeast corner of Block 121; thence west to the north-
west corner of Block 121; thence south to a point midway
between Markham and Garland Streets; thence west parallel
to Markham Street to the east line of Cross Street; thence
south to point of beginning, all in the original city of
Little Rock, rrkUnsas;
for the purpose of draining, grading, curbing, guttering, paving
and repaving, surfacing and resurfacing, and widening to a width of
fifty (50) feet between curbs of tVest Markham Street from the west
line of %vain Street to the East line of Cross Street.
Said district shall be known as Street Improvement district
No, S; and H. Grady Manning , Gus Fulk , an d
L. K. Snodgrass are hereby named Commissioners, who shall
compose the Board of Improvement for said district.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
