BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK: Section 1. That any motor vehicle belonginc to any person, firm or corporation who is a non - resident of the State of Arkansas, who has a duly licensed and registered motor vehicle and has com- plied with all the laws of the state, territory or federal district in the United States in which he resides with respect to the re- gistration of motor vehicles and the displaJr of registration_ numbers and who shall conspicuously display such registration number as recuired. thereby, may drive said motor vehicle in the Ci y of Little Rock for a period up to twelve o'clock, noon, of the,day following his arrival in the City of Little Rock, and on or before such time shall make application for a visitorTs permit, which shah. be granted to him without cost for a period not exceeding; ninety (90) days; provided the said operator shall, to the satisfaction of the Chief of 7olice or his uthorized �= ssistant, show himself to be a. competent operator of the motor vehicle. The said Chief of Police shall, upon the application of such visiting operator, furnish him said visitor's certificate. The k�hief of '`olic is hereby authorized and directed to prepare a visitor's certificate or other means of identification. Section 2. That the visitor's certificate or means of identi- fication shall be retained and exhibted in the manner to be prescribed by the said Chief of Police and any failure on the part of the operator to so exhibit the certificate or means of identification will constitute a violation of this ordinance. Section 3. Any erson violating the terms of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction be fined in any sum not to exceed Ten 010.00) Dollars. Section 4. Belt Ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Rock: Section 1. That any motor vehicle be- longing to any person, firm or corporation who is a nonresident of the State of Ark- ansas, who has a duly licensed and regis- terad n;otor vehicla and has complied with all the laws of the state, territory or federal district in the United States in which he resides with respect to the reg- istratlou of motor vehicles and the dis- play of registration numbers and who ^.hall conspicuously display such registra- tion number as required thereby. may drive paid motor vehicle in the City of Little Roc. for a period up to 12 o'clock, noon. Of the seventh day following his aitiva'. in the City of Little ?Rock, and on or before such time shall make applica- ticn for a visitor's permit, which shall be granted to him without cost for a period nct exceeding ninety (90) days; provided the sa ld operator shall. to the satisfac- tion of the chief of police or his author- ized aWstent, show. himself to be a com- petent operator of the motor vehicle.
