AN ORDINAPT CE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS
TO EXECUTE A LEASE ` +'+ITH THE U_-ITEL' STATES GO`rERN14ENT FOR CERTAIN
LAI\TDS ADTACENT TO THE LITTLE ROCK IuTUNICIPAL .SIR PORT AHD FOR
OTHER FURPUSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUi?CIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That the Board of Fublic Affairs be and it
is hereby authorized to execute for and in the name of the City of
Little Rock, a lease with the United States Government, upon lands
adjacent to the Little Rock Iunicipal Airport, which have been used
by the United States Government for airport purposes, upon such
terms and conditions and for the term of years that mat* be mutually
agreed upon with said United States Government,
Section 2. That Ordinance 17o. 4924 be and the same is
hereb 7 re,,ealed and because of the fact that there is ur; ert need
for a municipal airport, and the lack of landing facilities imperils
the continuance of air mail, service and endangers the lives of aviators
and others landing on and taking off from said air field, it is hereby
ascertained and declared that this ordinance is necessary for the preser-
vation of public safety and the matter of immediate y)ublic convenience
and it is therefore ascertained and declared that an emergency exists
and this ordinance shall be in force and effect immediately from and'
after the date of its passage.
