AN ORDgNANCE"CREATING THE POSITION OF CITY PROSECUTOR: DEFINING THE DUTIES
OF SAID O FICE:FIXIN0 THE SALAR'? THEREFOR AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That the office of City Prosecutor of Little Rock
is hereby created and shall be filled by appointment by the City
Attorney who shall select some qualified attorney at lava residing in
the Cit of Little Rock.
Section 2. The duties of City Prosecutor shall be to prosecute
all violations of city ordinances in the Little Pock ;municipal Court
and to pursue the prosecution of such cases as may be appealed from
the "; "funicipal Court to the Criminal division of the Pulaski Circuit
Court. The City Prosecutor shall perform such other services as the
City Council may from time to time designate.
Section 3. The term of office of the City Prosecutor shall
begin and end upon the same dates as the term of the office of City
Attorney. Immediately upon the passage and adoption of this ordinance
the City Attorney shall appoint the City Prosecutor who shall hold
office until the second Monday in Apri1,1934 and thereafter the
appointment shall continue for the period of two year.*
Section 4. The salary of the City Prosecutor shall be One
?-Iundred ($100.00) Dollars per month, payable in the same manner as
other general salaries of city officials are paid.
Section 5. The lack of constant and consistent prosecution
of violations of the city ordinances has created a situation dangerous
