DO TSO %; FRANCHISE RIGHTS IN OPERATING THE CITY DUMP AND SECURIng THE SALVAGE THEREFROM, FOR THE CONSIDERATION OF TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS PER ANNUM PAYABLE FIFTY DOLLARS PER QUARTER IN ADVANCE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK: Section 1. That for a period of one year from date of the passage of this ordinance a franchise for the operation of the city dump is hereby granted to D.F.Dotson upon the followin; con- di ti ons; Section 2. That said dump be kept in good condition and that same be operated under all of the regulations of the City Health Department, and in a manner meeting with the approval of the City Health Officer. Section 3. D.F. Dotson is hereby authorized to salvage any junk, bottles, iron or other articles that may be collected from the residences or business houses in the city of Little Rock and hauled to said dump by trucks and as a consideration for such privilege, D. r. Dotson hereby agrees to pay the sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) per annum, payable Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per Quarter in advance. Section 4. That the acceptance of this ordinance by the said D. F. Dotson shall constitute a binding contract and franchise between the City of Little Rock and the said D. F. Dotson; provided, however, if conditions should arise resulting in changing the present method of garbage collection by the City of Little Rock, this contract immediate action because of its potential menace to the health of the citizens of Little Rock, passage of this ordinance is immediately necessary, therefore an emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the date of its passage. The condition of the city dump necessitating immediate action because of its potential menace to the health of the citizens of Little Rock, passage of this ordinance is immediately necessary, therefore an emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the date of its passage. Gentlemen: Confirming conversation with your Mr.Rudisill, I hereby offer you the sum of two hundred dollars per year payable fifty 4 (- dollars per quarter cash in advance for the city dump. �. I agree to keep the city dump in good condition and will abide by the regulations of the city health depar ment. I am a citizen of Little Rock aJ engaged in hauling trash from business houses and understand how to handle the dump. I want the city dump for what salvage I can get out of it.
