It is our unders`anding that your Public forks Department could only issue a permit to build a marquette for only twenty -five feet of this frontage and that in order to build across the entire fifty feet, it is necessary to obtain permission from your honorable body. Therefore, we are respectfully requesting that you pass an ordinance giving us authority to build this marquette, which will be twelve feet above the sidewalk level, similar to that in front of the building on the northwest corner of Fifth and Center Streets, occulted by the Little Rock '.,is & Fuel Company and the Black and White Stores, except ours will be a much more attractive structure. For your further information, we are handing you the plans, which include the marquette, for remodeling the leased store room. We are also handing you the specifications for doing tilts work. When this, work is complet6d, we will have a very attractive store room at this location which will be occupied by a very progressive merchant.
