Horace Knowlton, "ayor Members of the City Council and Finance Committee Little Rock, Arkansas Gentlemen: P!'r. R. A. Pritchard has appealed to me asking me to get the matter before the proper authorities to see if we can not get the City to pay the hospital bills, under - taking bills and other expenses incident to the death of his son, which bills the mayor has before him. The circumstances surrounding the death of this young man are such that the City should, in all good reason, pay these bills. In fact, it has been a custom and precedent established years ago when the circumstances were even closely like these in this case. Pritchard, as you know, is a poor man and these bills are distressing him and the parties to whom the bills are owing are urging him to make payment. I wish you would please give this matter your attention and give this relief to Pritchard. In addition to the facts above, P,r. Pritchard is a long time resident of the City and is a good man and a good citizen and his case should command itself to you gentlemen. I will appreciate it if you will advise me in this matter, and I may add that I am not charging any fee in the little service in appealing to you in this way. I simply want the right thing done. ,y ours very tr y FAI : WT F ed A . .-g g __ A G T-ES WARDS: HAIES OF ALDERIXIT AYE NU 1 Teraal, Floyd 1 Pickens, Jack, 2 Leiser, H.G. 2 Tuoney, J.H. 3 Iduswi ck, Geo . 3 Craig, C.J.
