A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE TO BE 'ENTITLED
AN ORDINANCE TO REDUCE THE ANNUAL ASSESS -
i;:ENTS LEVIED ON FROPERTY IN STREET IMPROVE -
i'.ENT DISTRICT 439 IN LITTLE ROCK, AMINSAS,
BY 5 000
11EREAS, it ias been ascertained that treet Iinprove-
ment Jistrict 439, Little 'loc:-,, Arkansas, has sufficient
funds on hand which, to, ^;ether with one -half the annual assess-
ments levied on the property in said district, will enable it
to meet all of its outstanding obligations as they fall due;
and,
`,'HEREAS, the commissioners o' the district after ascer-
taining the facts, -!ave requested that the assessients be re-
duced for the remainder of the period covered by the assessments.
BE IT ORDAINED BY YHE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKA3\ SAS :
Section 1. 'hat the annual assessments of treet improve-
ment District 439 be and the same are hereby reduced by 50U
for the remainder of the period in which assessments are levied.
Section 2. This ordinance waving for its purpose 'the re-
duction of assessments in the aforesaid district by 50; ". 50
of the original assessment as levied shall be collected for the
year 190`4 and subsequent years unless otherwise provided by law.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts thereof in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed and tt.is ordinance shall take ef-
feet and be in force from and after its passage.
