ORDINANCE NO . 3207 .
AN ORDINANCE DESIuNATING THE NEd 25TH STREET PAVING
PROJECT AS A BOULEVARD AND CHANGING THE NAE OF THOSE STREETS
WHICH GO TO 1-AKE UP THE BOULEVARD TO FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT ROAD,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, The new cross —town boulevard and thorouEhfare
which has been referred to as, and known as, the 25th Street
Project is nearing completion; and
WHEREAS, Said street should be named and the name of
the nortion of the streets which the new highway will traverse
should be uniform: Now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY T11E OITY JOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That the new Federal Paving Project which
is providing a cross tovin highway for Little Rock, more completely
described as follows, to —wit:
Be:,.inning at the intersection of train Street
with 25th Street, thence west on 25th Street,
continuing west on a direct line to a junction
v-rith Asher Avenue at Cedar Street, and the further
extension of the Boulevard east of 25th Street
and main Street in a due easterly direction to
near lcAlmont Street, and thence in a southeasterly
direction to its junction with Confederate Boulevard
be and the same is hereby fixed as a boulevard, subject to all
ordinances and reL-ulations governing boulevards, and shall be
known as Franklin D. Roosevelt Road. The name of the ;portion
of streets - .ereinabove described as forming; a part of the said
boulevard are hereby changed and the entire ;project shall be
known as Franklin D. Roosevelt Road* and street markings thereon
he "Roosevelt Road" .
