SARY FOR USE IN CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW 25th STREET RIGHT -OF-

liffi R:EAS, it is n cessary for the City to acquire certain prop-
erty in order to build the new Roosevelt Boulevard which is the
continuation of 25th Street; and, j
fr�ER:EAS, certain property owners are refusing to allow the City
to purchase said -property; any;,
'rHLREAS, it will be necessary for said property to be condemned;.

ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. That for the use for right -of -way purposes for Eas
25th "'treat, to be known as - oosevelt Boulevard, the following des -
t cribed property must be obtained:
(1) South 26 feet of Lot 4, Block 1, Scott Street Addition.
-! (2) South 28 feet of Lot 3, Block 1, Scott Street Addition.
(3) South 2�_ feet of Lot 1, 3lock 1, Scott Street Addition.
(4) Lot 4, 7?lock 1, Pettifer's Addition
(5) South 412 feet of Lot 1'), Reeves Subdivision of Lots 1.
12, Block 17, Rapley Estate.
(6) Lot 9, Block 3, Fettifer's Addition. -
and whereas the owners thereof have refused to allow the Citv to ac-
quire said property, the o:ayor and City Attorney are hereby authorized,
empowered and directed to institute such proceedings as are necessary
to condemn said property and to secure its use for the construction
III of said highway.
37CTICN 2. Whereas, the completion of this highway will result
in giving employment to many persons now unemployed the securing of
said property is found to be necessary for said improvement, an emer-
gency is therefore declared to exist and this ordinance is found to
be necessary for the oreservati on of the public peace, health and
safety and the same shall be in full force and effect immediately upon
its passage and' approval.
