AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND (45000.00)
DOLLARS FROM THE GENERAL FUND AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO PAY TO THE LITTLE ROCK COtEVIUNITY CHEST THE SUM
OF FIVE THOUSAND (45000.00) DOLLARS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
'Whereas, the Little Rock Community Chest is in dire
financial circumstances; and,
Whereas, the City of Little Rock pledged the sum of
Five Thousand (45000.00) Dollars to said Little Rock Community
Chest; and,
Whereas, unless said sum is paid the said Little Rock
Community Chest will be forced to cease operation
Rock.
N&d THEREFORE,
Be it orddned by the City Council of the City of Little
Section I. That there is Hereby appropriated the sum
of Five Thousand (45000.00) Dollars from the General Fund and
the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to
issue a warrant of the City of Little Rock, on the General Fund,
payable to the Little Rock Community Chest, in the sum of Five
Thousand (45000.00) Dollars,
Section II. VIhereas it is important that said, funds
be received by the Little Rock Community Chest so that said
Chest may not be forced to cease operation and whereas it would
be for the benefit of the peace, health and safety of the
citizens of the City of Little Rock, an emergency is declared
to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
