AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO.
2503; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS
Section 1. That Section 3 of Ordinance 2503 be, and the
same is hereby# amended as follows: that the Little Rock Gas and
Fuel Company shall pay to the City of Little Rock, for the
purposes as set out in Ordinance 2503, the sum of Twelve Thousand
Dollars ($12,000.00) per year, payable quarterly in advance upon
January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1 of each year.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be retroactive
from January 1, 1935 by agreement between the Little Rock Gas and
Fuel Company and the City of Little Rock.
Section 3. Whereas, it is necessary for the protection
of the health and safety of the citizens of the City of Little
Rock, Arkans&.s, and for the benefit of their general welfare that
this sum be paid immediately, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage.
