AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE BOARD OF
PUBLIC AFFAIR: TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PUR-
CHASE OF ONE BOILER FOR THE CITY HOSPITAL AND AUTHO-
RIZING PURCHASE OF SAID BOILER; AND FOR OTHER PU;.POSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUIyCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. The Board of 'ublic i�Zf airs is hereby au-
thorized and directed and empowered to advertise for and receive
bids for the following type boiler: `40 -11orse I Ower A.S.r ".F. code
construction, 7'orizontal Return Tubular Type, delivered and set
in steel suspension, and for insolating or casing in boiler with

said boiler to be used at the Little Rock City Hospital at a costs
not to exceed 2,E00.00 •
SECTION 2. '--,he 3oard of ?ublic nffairs is hereby fur-
ther authorized and directed to proceed to purchase said boiler
in the lowest and most res-,onsiple bcid.
DICTION 3. .hereas, the present booler in use at the
said Little Rock City Hospital can not be placed in 'proper work-
ing order and is necessary to replace said ixiler immediately an
emergency is therefore declared to exist and this ordinance is
declared to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public peace, health and safety and should be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
