SECTION 1. � �t the

selling, or offering for sale, goods, wares and /or merchandise in the
City of Little Rock by a person, firm and /or corporation not having
a regular and permanent place of business within the City is hereby
declared to be a privilege and taxable for the use of the General
Fund as hereinafter provided..
'ECTION 2. That this ordinance in no way repeals but sup
plements prior existing ordinances and is intended to apply only to
persons, firms and /or corporations doing the business set out in
Section 1 hereof where such persons, firms and /or corporations main-
tain no stock of goods within the City but simply maintain samples
of merchandise offered for sale and ta-,e orders on same for future
delivery.
ECTION 3. For the privilege of conducting such business
within the City of little Rock there is hereby levied an annual li-
cense fee in the sum of Three Hundred Dollars ( 'Y300.00). Such li-
cense shall be payable in advance and the whole of such license
must be paid irrespective of the length of time such person, firm
and /or corporation intends to transact business within the City;
provided, however, that said license shall be good for one (1) year
from the date same is issued.
:SECTION 4. That before such license shall be issued by
the City Collector of the City of Little Hock any person, firm and/
or corporation applying for such license, shall furnish to, and
der)osit with,the City Collector a good and sufficient bond in the
principal sum of One Thousand Dollars (-4 >1,000.00), conditioned upon
the faithful performance of all contracts, agreements and /or sales
entered into by and between the applicant for the license and those

with whom said applicant does business. Said bond shall run for a
period of six (6) months after the date upon which said applicant
ceases to do business within the amity of Little Rock.
SECTION 5. Any person, firm and /or corporation doing the
business herein described within the Gity of Little mock, without
first having obtained a license and posting the bond herein provided,
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof
shall be fined in any sum not less than Fifty Dollars (450.00) nor
more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00), and each day that said vio-
lation or violations continue shall be deemed to be a separate of-
f ense .
SECTION 6. Whereas, this ordinance is for the protection
of the citizens of Little Pock who may be induced to do business with
persons, firms and /or corporations who do not have fixed an estab-
lished place of business within the amity of Little -ock, said ordin-
ance is therefore found to be necessary for the immediate preserva-
tion of the public peace and safety and an emergency is hereby de-
clared. to exist and the same shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
