health that such businesses be regulated by the -ealth Department
in order that proper inspection of the crater can be made

SECTION 1. From and after the passage ano approval of thi
ordinance it shall be unlawful for any person, firm and /or cor-
poration to sell or offer for sale, within the City of Little
Rock, any grater, u-til an application has been filed with the
Little :Mock Health _ ep artment and a pernit ;ranted cy the :tittle
Rock :iealth 'department. paid application shall state the loca-
tion, source of the water, the approximate number of 2:allons to
be sold and the list of the em,)loyees en�:. ed in the business.
.hen the application is filed it shall be the duty of the Little
.ock Health Department to make an inspection of the source of
the :rater supply and /or ';rater shed, to inspect the premises j4here
the crater is handled and to ma'k'e proper exa :rotation and test of
the cater.
SECTION 2. The Little mock - iealth Department shall have
the po;.,er to make such reasonable rulinn and regulations govern-
ing the handling of the ,slater, method by i.Thich bottles and other
utensils are to be sterlized, and to provide for regular inspectio
and examination of the grater at least once each month. In addi-
tion, the = ?ealth Department, shall also provide for the examina-
tion of any and all persons engaged in the 1liandling and sale of
water and shall Provide that each employee ,- ll have a health
certificate under such rules and regulation: as the Little�ock
Health Department may prescribe.

SECTION 3. In order to pay the costs of the inspection -nd
tests herein ;roviced for, each person, firm and /or corporation,
annually

be guilty of a misdemeanor and u,.on conviction, punished by a
fine of not less than Ten (; 10.00) Dollars nor -more titan Cne Hdn-
dred (•`,=100'.00) Dollars, and clay, at the discretion of the Little
Rock _ealt l 'z�partment have the permit for such person, firm and
or corporation forfeiter.
CTIO?,' 5. hereas, the purity of the water supply is of
vit=al imnortancc: to the, - ealth rf the citiz;;nz cf Little Nock,
an emergency is hereby declarer: to exist and this ordinance is
found to be necessary for the preservation of the public peace,
health and safety and sane shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
