BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKMAS : -
SECTIO'; 1. That James Keith and the owners of Lot 12, Block 75
of the Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be and they are hereby
granted the right to excavate and use the space underneath the sidewalks
along and adjacent to the East and 'orth sides of said lot and extending
twelve feet East of the `'est ?property line of South I.Rain Street and
twelve feet North of the South property line of "rest Fourth Street, and
I�iithin a radius of twelve feet around the iiortheast corner of said lot,
and to construct and maintain therein foundations, footings, substruc-
tures, and basement, and extension and the basement of the building as
now stands or as may hereafter be erected on said lot, -provided, that the
City of Little Rock reserves to itself and assigns the right to use all
of said area in excess of ten feet from said property lines and to a
depth of three feet from the present surface of the sidewalks, for the
sole purpose of laying and maintaining public utility pipes and conduits
as a part of the system occupying similar space on adjacent property.
SEC TIOIT 2. T .at James Keith and the ow -hers of Lot 12, Block 75
of the Original City of Little Roc's, their heirs and assigns, be and
they are hereby granted the right to construct and maintain on ':Test
"' ourth Street adjacent to said lot a stairway four feet ;ride, leading
to the basement of any building upon said lot, provided, that the
entrance of such stairway shall be not less than sixteen feet from the
"Test rroperty line of South I\Tain Street.
SECTION 3. That James T'eith and the owners of Lot 12, Block 75
of the Original City of Little Rock, their heirs and assigns, be and
they are hereby granted the right to construct and maintain ventilating
grills along the 'rest side of said lot and ext.ending not more than two
feet six Inches ':rest of the Vest property line thereof.
SECTION 4. That the 3oard of Public Affairs of the City of
little Rock be and it is hereby authorized and directed to enter into
and complete a lease agreement for the use of the above mentioned areas
as hereinabove provided for a period of ninety -nine years from Liay i,
1937 at the yearly rental of One 'Dollar.
SECTION 5. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed only in so far as they affect this
ordinance.
