SECTION 1. The salary of the x uckXXy,-Xt of the
;detective 7epartr:ent shall, from and after July 1, 1937,
be `,136.75 per month, -payable in the same manner as other
police officers are now paid.
6EU`TIOII 2. It being ascertained and found that
the increased salary herein provicied for is necessary for
the r.ublic peace, health and safety, and gives added
efficiency to the Police Department of the City of Little
Rock, an emerCency is decl�:red to exist, anti all ordin,,-,nces
:..end parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed, and this ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after C-luly 17 1937.
