AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY ';V ITHIN
TH2 CITY OF LITTLE; ROCK TO BE A NUISANCES
ORDE 1I11G ITS i Ei':iOVAL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CO M CIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK,, ARKANUAS
SECTION 1. jhat whereas, the owner of the following
described property to ',Iit
604 .East Seventh street House
has allowed the building located on said property to deteriorate
to the extent that said buildink has been found by the health
officer of th ;.tittle .._ock City Council to be hazardo.-7Ls in that
it constitutes a fire hazard, and in addition is dangerous to
the life and li,lb of the public; ana same is hereby declared
to be a nuisance. tend the chief of Police is hereby instructed
to serve the owner of said piece of property with a copy of this
Ordinance and notify said owner that the respective piece of
property -must either be torn down and removed or remodeled within
thirty days from the date hereof.
SECTION 2. In the event the owner of said piece
of property cannot be located, the Chief of p=olice is instruc-
ted to serve said notice by posting a copy of this Ordinance
on the front door of said building,and report such action to the
Fire ::o-mmittee or the Jity Council.
SECTION 3. The owner of the �:aithin described
property failini or refusin to conform to the provisions of
the Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of misdemeanor and uo�
conviction t n.ereof in the Little Lock Llunicipal Court shall be
fined in any sum not less than Twenty-Five :iollars ( :_25.00) nor
more than three iundre;u collars (Q`300.00).
SECTION 4. The City -4ttorney is hereby authorized
and instructed to proceed to tale all necessary court action in
order to secure the removal of the property herein declared to
be a nuisance it same is not removed or remodeled within thirty
days of -the date hereof.
^%:JJIIOT? 5. Due to the constant fire hazard and
the danzer th.t this piece of property presents to the public
safety, and emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
Ordinance 'being necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public health, peace, and safety, and the same shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
