SECTION 1. Effective on the day of
1938, the department of Parks and Sanitation is hereby abolished and the
position of Superintendent of.Parks and Sanitation now held by Mr. Tom
Coyne, position of Secretary to the Superintendent of Parks and Sanitation
now held by �!A_ and position of Foreman in

SECTION 2. All the duties heretofore performed by the department
of Parks and Sanitation with reference to Street work and to Parks are
hereby transferred to the City lmgineers office, and these duties are

health are hereby transferred to the Health Department of the City and the
City Health officer> shall hence forth be responsible for the performance
of these duties.

SECTION 3. WHEREAS, these duties can be performed by other
departments and money saved to the City, WHEREAS, the City Treasury is
depleted, an emergency is found to exist and this ordinance is found to
be necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health and
safety, and same shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
