Al ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF TWENTY FOUR
HUNDRED DOLLARS FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY
TO PAY THE CITYIS PLEDGE TO THE COMMUNITY FUND
IN THE AMOUNTS AND ON THE DATES SET OUT HEREIN: AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION I. That there is hereby appropriated
from the general fund of the City of Little Rock
the sum of Twenty Four Hundred. Dollars to nay the
City's pledge to the Little Rock Community Fund;
said amount to be paid at the rate of 1$300.00 per
month, the first payment being payable on 25th day
of May and subsequent payments in the amount of $300.00
each, to be paid on the 25th day of each suameding
month during the remainder of the calendar year of 1938.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to issue the city's warrants in the sum of
$300.00 each on the dates herein above set out payable
to Little Rock Community Fund.
SECTION II. Whereas the Community Fund is in
immediate need of financial assistance in order to
care for needy citizens who otherwise would be a charge
on the city an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance is found to be necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety
and the same shall be in full force and effect from and
after its pas sage and approval.
