TO THE LITTLE ROCK CITY COUNCIL:

At a meeting of the Board of Public
Affairs December 5, 1938 the attached Ordinance,
which was referred to "the Board by the Council,
was discussed and it As the recommendation of
the Board that said Ordinance be passed and
lease entered into with the United States of
America whereby the City would lease space at
the Airport for use of the Civil Aeronautics
Authority.

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF PUBLIC
AFFAIRS TO ENTER INTO I LEASE, FOR THE LEASING OF
PROPERTY AT THE AIRPORT TO THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT:
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

SECTION 1. An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor and
Board of Public Affairs to execute a lease whereby a certain
portion of the Administration Building located at the Little
Rock Airport and belonging to the City of Little Rock to be
leased to the United States of j),merice for use of the Civil
Aeronautics Authority. The Mayor and Board of Public Affairs
are authorized to execute said lease.
SECTION 2. NMREAS, it is necessary to execute said
lease immediately for the protection of Pilots using said
Airport, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and tis
Ordinance is found to be necessary for the immediate preserva-
tion of the public peace, health and safety, and same shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
