AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE No. 2558, FIXING
CERTAIN PRIVILEGE TAXES; PROVIDING PENALTY FOR THE
FAILURE TO PAY TAX; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C01MCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. The businesses hereinafter described herein
are hereby declared to be privileges; for the exercise of such
privilege within the City of Little Rock, each person, firm,
or corporation engaged in any of the businesses set out in Section
2, hereof shall nay the sum therein listed. as an annual tam for
the privilege of conducting said business. Ordinance No. 2588
of the Ordinances of the City of Little Rock is hereby repealed
insofar, as it is in conflict with any of the schedules set up
in this Ordinance.
SECTIOI7 2. The schedule of business and the amount of tax
for each business shall be as follows to -fait:
BOTTLED DRINKS:
Each person, firm or corporation engaged in the
business of bottling aerated, carbonated, or
mineral water, soft drin:s, coca-cola, or simi-
lar beveraged, having:
A capacit?� of under 300 cases per day,

Boarding douses - ?there meals are served to the

Omen air storage or parlting lot, where an entire
city block or an equivalent of an entire city

Where one -half of a city block or the equivalent
of one-half of a city block is used, per year -$ 50.00
'There one- fourth to one -half of a city block or
the equivalent of one - fourth to one -half of a

Where one - eighth to one- fourth of a city block or
an equivalent thereof is used, per year - - - - $25.00
Where one - eighth or less of a city block or an

Temporary paring lots Used for special occasions -

BAKERY:
Each person, firm, or corporation conducting
a bakery, for each oven, per year - - - - - - - $25.00
Where one rotating, or large traveling oven

Providing the total license under this sub-
section shall not exceed $150.00 Der year.
BUS OR FREIGHT TMMINTALS:
For each person, firm, or corporation engaged in
the business of receiving passengers or freight
for transportation for hire from the City of
Little Rock to another point in Arkansas, or
from other points in Arkansas to the said City
of Little Rock shall pay an annual license, on
each car or truck used in said service, Der

And on each trailer used in said service, an
additional charge, per year, of - - - - - - $10.00,
providing the total license under this
sub- section shall not exceed $300.00.
BUSINESS SCHOOLS:
Business schools or colleges, each, per year - - - $50.00
DA1MNG SCHOOLS:
Dancing schools, where open to public for
teaching of dancing, per year - - - - - - - - - $15.00
EXPRESS C01MA1NIES:
Each person, firm, or corporation doing business
as on express company, commercially engaged
in business in the City of Little Rock and
receiving and sending packages to and from the
City, to and from any other points in the State,
not including revenues derived from interstate
commerce, per year - - - - - - - - - - - - - - $125.00
HAIR DRESSERS:
Each person, firm, or corporation engaged in, for
each operator, per year ----- - - - - -- -$2,00
HEIASTITCHERS ;c DRESS' AKEgS:
Each person, firm, or corporation engaged in the
business of hemstitching or dressmaking, and
maintaining a regular place of business out-
side of their home shall pay a license of,

HOUSEHOLD SUPPLIES:
Dealers in household supplies There agents
are employed in house -to -house canvassing

Each person, firm or corporation maiming for

Each person, firm, or corporation engaged in
pressing and cleaning, for each machine
