HomeMy WebLinkAbout5681w i t �I s, ORDINANCE 5691. l� . �I AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARY SCHEDULE OF ALL OF THE EMPLOYERS OF THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; j REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; BLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. 'j SECTION 1. In order to better promote efficiency in the iI lPire Department of the City of Little Rock, it is hereby ordained all employes of the Little Rock Fire Department shall be graded by the length of service that such employes have served. in the respective departments, and such divisions shall be as follows:' (T) Employes who have served one (1) year or less shall be as 1krobation men. 1t (2) Those who have served more than one (1) year and less than (2) two years shall be known as "Two -year men.'t (3) Those who have served more than Two (2) years and less` Ithan three (3) years shall be known as 4Three -year men.1 I SECTION 2. Salary schedules for the classification herein_` i `above set out shall be not to exceed the respective amounts per month as follows: (1) Probation Men 4174.30 Per Month (2) Two -yeas M"en 195.30 ' n (3) Three-year Men 199.10 (4) Those who have served more than (3) years shall receive not to exceed $212.50 SECTION 3. The salary schedules hereinabove provided shall be effective as of January 1, 1939, and shall continue only through January 31, 1939. SECTION 4. It is hereby Ordained that the Fire Department shall have the following Officers; Chief of Fire Department, First' Assistant Chief,,,, Second Assistant Chief, Third Assistant Chief, ro�oeator, Secretary, Mechanic, Electrician, Captains:, Junior Captains, operators, Laddermen and Hosemen. SECTION 5. The Officers provided for in Section 4, herein (shall receive not to exceed the following respective salaries per Imonth which shall be effective as of January 1, 1939, and continue only through January 31, 1939f and the Mayor and City Clerk are I hereby authorized and directed to issue the City's warrant or war - rants for the differences in amounts of salaries herein for the i month of January, 1939 not already heretofore paid said employes: a -a- Chief of Fire Department $400.00 First Assistant Chief 312..50 Second Assistant Chief -287.50 Third Assistant Chief 27'0.50 Inspector 245.80 Secretary 237.50 Mechanic 237.50 Operators 220.80 Electrician 237.50 Captains 237.50 Junior Captains 229.10 Drivers- 220.80 Laddermen 212 -•60 Hosemen 212.50 SECTION 6. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in -,onflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 7.
