AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $500.00
OR SO MUCH THER30F AS MAY BE NECESSARY FROM
THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY FOR THE PURPOSE
OF CONSTRUCTING A DOG POUND FOR THE CITY; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES '
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the
General Fund of ,the City the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00)
or so much thereof as may be necessary which may be used by the
Gity to match Federal contributions in order that a dog pound
may be constructed for the City. The Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized to pay any sum up to'Five Hundred Dollars ($500.
as the payments are required by the Federal Agency undertaking
the construction of the pound..
SECTION 2. Whereas aid can be secured from a Federal
Agency if immediate action is taken, and whereas. the City is in
need of better facilities at the pound., an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, and this Ordinance is found to be necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and
safety, and the same shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
