AN ORDINANCE ABDLISHING CERTAIN POSITIONS IN THE
FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF LITTLE: ROCK AND
CREATING CERTAIN ADDITIONAL POSITIONS; FIXING
THE SALARIES THEREFOR; AND FOR OTHER EURFOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. From and after passage and approval of
this Ordinance, the positions of Mechanic in the Little Rock
Fire Department and Electrician in the Little Rock Fire Department
are hereby abolished, in lieu thereof there ishereby created the
position of Chief Electrician and Mechanic of the Fire Department
who shall receive a salary of One Hundred Sixty Dollar ($160.00)
per month, payable as other salaries in the Fire Department are
paid, and Assistant Electrician and Mechanic of the Fire Department
who shall receive a salary of One Hundred Thirty —five Dollars
($135_00) per month, payable as other salaries in the Fire
Department are paid.
SECTION 2.. WHEREAS, these changes will promote
efficiency in the Fire Department by combining duties., an
emergency is.hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance is found
to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace
health and safety, and same shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
