HomeMy WebLinkAbout5713ORDINANCII -NO. - 5713- AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO.�}- WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of two - thirds in assessed value of the real property located within the ter - ritory,lying and situate within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, set out. petitl -ou praYikg the purpose °hii ; after WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City Council of the City of Little Rock has heard all parties desir- ing to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition was signed by two - thirds in assessed value of the owners of real property within said territory: NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: SECTION 1. There is hereby established an improvement district embracing the following real property within the ,., a a ti x= City, to wit: Beginning at the Southwest Corner of Lot 5, Block 9, R. C. C. Butler's Addition, the place of beginning. The purpose of the said improvement district is the grading, curbing, guttering and paving, in the manner and of the materials that the Commissioners of the said district, hereinafter named, shall deem for Its best interest, of the following streets, to wit: Nineteenth Street from the East side of Valmar Street to the West side of Brown Street. Twentieth Street from the East side of Pine Street (which is a line extended due South along the West line of Block 16, Braddock's Addition) to the West side of Brown Street. Twenty- second Street from the East side of Pine Street to the West side of Brown Street. Twenty- fourth Street from the East side of Maple Street to t,#e West side of Brown Street. Maple Street from the South Side of Twentieth Street to the Northwest side of Asher Avenue (sometimes called Wright Avenue) . Valentine Street from the South side of Twentieth Street to the North side of Twenty- fourth Street. Valmar Street from the South side of Twentieth Street to the North side of Twenty: = fourth Street. Martin Street from the South side of Eighteenth Street to the North side of Twenty- fourth Street. Brown Street from the South side of Eighteenth Street to the Northwest side of Asher Avenue (sometimes called Wright Avenue) . 10 , (3) The said improvement district shall be known as Street Improvement District No. SX4 ; and R. p, aree2n , M. T_ MnnZM and J21M RMel Martin are hereby named Commissioners, who shall compose the Board of Im- provement for the said district. . i SECtlOk 2.
