AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES
ON THE WEST SIDE OF COVE STREET OR WOODLANE;
FIXING THE PENALTY HEREOF AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. From and after the passage and approval
of this ordinance, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm,
or corporation to park any vehicle on the west side of Cove
Street or Woodlane adjacent to the State Capitol grounds.
SECTION 2. Any person, firm, or corporation violat-
ing the provisions of this act shall be deemed guilty of
misdemeanor and upon conviction in the Little Rock Municipal
Court, shall be fined in any sum not less than One Dollar
($1.00) nor more than Five Dollars ($5.00).
SECTION 3. WHEREAS, the State of Arkansas is
beautifying the Capitol grounds and said work will be completed
at an early date and parking of automobiles on said street
impairs the beauty of the grounds and also creates a hazard
to the drivers of automobiles because of the width of the
street, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance is found to be necessary for immediate preservation
of the public peace, health, and safety and the same shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
