AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING CERTAIN POSITIONS
IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR, OTHER
PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. The following positions are hereby abolished
offectiva May Av 1939:
(1). Superintendent of the Little Rock City Hospi-
tal.
(2). Office Manager of the Little -_ock City Hospi-
tal.
(3). Clerk to the City Engineer.
(4). Field Engineer in the office of the City
Engineer.
SECTION 2. Whereas the financial affairs of the City of
Little Rock are such that economy must be effected immediately,
and the duties formerly performed by the officials hereinabove
named can be transferred to other officials and thereby saving
the City these salaries, an emergency is hereby found to exist
and this Ordinance is found to be necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, and the
same shall be in full force and effect from and after its pas-
sage and approval.
