"AN ORDINANCE TO
AMEND SECTION 17 OF ORDINANCE #3913 OF THE
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AS AMENDED
BY ORDINANCE #4864 TO MAKE BARBER STREET A
BOULEVARD FROM NINTH (9th) STREET TO TWENTY -
FIFTH (25th) STREET; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. Section 17 of Ordinance #3913 as amended
by Ordinance #4864 is hereby amended to include and constitute
Barber Street to Twenty -fifth (25th) Street, save and except
Ninth (9th) Street, Fourteenth (14th) Street, and Twenty -fifth
(25th) Street.
SECTION 2. Any person violating the provisions of
this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not more than
Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00).
SECTION 3. WHEREAS; this Ordinance is designed for
the prevention of traffic accidents and the elimination of
traffic hazards which exist on Barber Street, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance is found to be ne-
cessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
health, and safety, and the same shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
