AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO APPOINT
A CITY VISITING PHYSICIAN; TO PROVIDE FOR HIS
SAL_iRY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to appoint
One (1) City Visiting Physician to be employed in the City
Health Department.
SECTION 2. Such City Health Physician shall receive
a salary of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) per month and
shall work under the direction and supervision of the City Healt]
Off icer.
SECTION 3. Such City Visiting Physician shall fur-
nish his own automobile to be used in connection with his work
and he shall receive Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per
month traveling expenses, which sum shall include all costs of
operation, upkeep and depreciation of said automobile.
SECTION 4. 'WHEREAS; there are many conditions
existing in the City of Little Rock which require the services
of a City Visiting Physician, and which constitute a serious
menace to the public health, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this Ordinance is fou. d to be necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety,
and the same shall be in full force and effect from and after
