3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH PETERSON INDUSTRIES, INC., IN THE
5 AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED TWENTY -TWO THOUSAND, EIGHT
6 HUNDRED SEVEN AND 46/100 ($122,807.46), FOR THE PURCHASE OF
7 ONE (1) KNUCKLEBOOM TRUCK FOR THE HOUSING AND
8 NEIGHBORHOOD PROGRAMS DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE
9 NATIONAL JOINT POWER ALLIANCE (NJPA) CONTRACT; AND FOR
10 OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, the Housing and Neighborhood Programs Department is in need of one (1)
13 Knuckleboom truck to serve instrumentally in a neighborhood clean -up initiative; and,
14 WHEREAS, by utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, the City Fleet
15 Services can purchase one (1) Knuckleboom Truck, from Peterson Industries, Inc., at a cost of One
16 Hundred Twenty -Two Thousand, Eight Hundred Seven and 46/100 Dollars ($122,807.46);
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
20 Peterson Industries, Inc. for the purchase of one (1) Knuckleboom Truck for the Housing and
21 Neighborhood Programs Department fleet, utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract,
22 for the amount of One Hundred Twenty -Two Thousand, Eight Hundred Seven and 46/100 Dollars
23 ($122,807.46).
24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in a combination of 2012 and 2013 3/8 -Cent Capital
25 Sales Tax Funding.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
32 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
