ORDINANCE NO. 5816.
AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE BENEFITS
TO BE RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH
OF THE SEVERAL LOTS, BLOCKS AND PAR-
CELS OF LAND WITHIN STREET IXPROV11*
MENT DISTRICT NO. 529 OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the majority of two - thirds in value of the
property owners owning property adjoining the locality to be
effected and situated in Street Improvement District No. 529
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, organized for the purpose
of curbing, guttering and paving Pine Street as therein set out
have petitioned the City Council of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, for the construction of said improvement, and that
the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property of
said district according to the benefits received; and
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every lot,
block, and parcel of real property situated in said district
squals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is
$ 10850.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; `
SECTION 1. That the said several lots, blocks, and
parcels of real property in said Street Improvement District
No. 527 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be assessed accord-
ing to the assessment list for said improvement district as the
same now remains in the office of the City Clerk, and that twenty
per centum (20%) of the assessment of benefits on each --af- said -
lots, blocks, and parcels of real estate shall be paid annually
on or before the lot day of January, of each year, beginning
with January lot, 1940, until the whole of the said local assess-
Mont of benefits shall be paid.

SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herein are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
