AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS
TO TAKE BIDS FOR THE FURNISHING OF :,SEAT FOR THE ANI-
IALS AT THE CITY ZO0; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1: The mayor and the Board of Public Affairs
are hereby authorized and directed to advertise for and receive
bids for the furnishing of meat for the animals at the City Zoo.
SECTION 2: WHEREAS; the present contract for the fur-
nishing of meat expires on December 31, 1939, and it is necessar3
to mane a new contract, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance is found to be necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health, and safety, and the
same shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
