ORDINANCE 534.
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION #2125 OF BRICKHOUSE &
CASTLE'S DIGEST TO FIX THE TIME AND PLACES OF PARKING
DURING STREET CLEANING HOURS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1: Section #2125 of Brickhouse & Castle's
Digest shall be amended to read as follows: "SECTION #2125:
STREET CLEANING HOURS -- No one shall park any vehicle in the
congested district between the hours of 2:00 A.M. and 6:00 A.M.,
except that vehicles may park on Main Street from Bridge Street
to Tenth Street, Markham Street from lain Street to Louisiana
Street, Louisiana Street from Markham Street to Eighth Street,
Capitol Avenue from Main Street to Spring Street, and Scott Street
from capitol avenue to Sixth Street from- 4:00 A.M and 5:00 A.M."
SECTION 2: WHEREAS; the parking of vehicles between
the hours of 2:00 A.M. and 6 :00 A.M. has prevented the City from
keeping its streets clean and since the cleaning of streets is
necessary to the preservation and protection of the public peace,
health, and safety, an emergency is hereby found to exist and
this Ordinance is found to be necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public peace, health and safety, and the same shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and appro-
val.
