AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE 14AYUR AND BOARD OF PUBLIC
AFFAIRS TO ENTER INTO A LEASE " -NITH V. C. JOHNSON FOR
THE LEASING OF A STORE AND ROCK QUARRY; APPROPRIATING
THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS i0000DWXXM= ($1,000.00)
FROM THE ROAD AND /OR AUTO FUND OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE RENTAL ON SAID LEASE; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1: The :layor and Board of Public Affairs are
hereby authorized to enter into a lease with V. C. Johnson where
the City will lease from the said V. C. Johnson a rock and stone
crushing plant and rock and stone quarry for a period of Zix (6)
months.
SECTION 2: There is hereby appropriated from the road
and /or auto fund of the City of Little Rock the sum of One Thou-
sand Dollars #hex %W5XX5XU (41,000.04) for the purpose of paying
the rental on said property.
SECTION 3: V HEREAS; the streets of the amity of Little
Rock are in immediate need of work so that such streets can be
kept in good condition and rock and stone is necessary for such
work, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
is found to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public peace, health and safety, and the same shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
