AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE BENEFITS
TO BE RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH
OF THE SEVERAL LOTS, BLOCKS AND PAR-
CELS OF LAND YaTHIN ANNEX NO. 1 TO
STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO 528
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the majority in value of the property

owners owning property adjoining the locality to be effected
and situated in Annex No. 1 to Street Improvement District
No. 528 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, organized for
the purpose of grading, draining, curbing, guttering and
paving Maple Street as therein set out have petitioned the
City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the
construction of said improvement, and that the cost thereof
shall be assessed upon the real property of said district
according to the benefits received; and
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every
lot, block, and parcel of real property situated in said
district equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and
$8,600.00;
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is
NOW, THEREFORSt BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. That the said several lots, blocks, and
parcels of real property in said Annex No. 1 to Street Improve-
ment District No. 528 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be
assessed according to the assessment list for said improvement
district as the same now - remains in the office of the City
Clerk, and that _ twenty per eentum (_g2__%)
of the assessment of benefits on such of said lots, blocks, and
parcels of real estate shall be paid annually on or before the
ist day of Ap ri1 , of each year, beginning with
April 1 , 1940, until the whole of the said
local assessment of benefits shall be paid.

SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herein a a 31,wy yep e aled,, and this ordinanee
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
