HomeMy WebLinkAbout5864AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR PAIMENT OF SUCCESSIVE ANNUAL INSTALLMENTS OF TEN PER CENT ON ASSESSED BENEFITS IN STREET IMPROVEMENT MSTRICT NO- 530, CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. WHEREAS, more than two - thirds majority in value of the property holders owning property adjoining the locality to be af- footed and situated in Street Improvement District Number 530, organized for the purpose of grading, curbing, guttering and paving: West Twentieth Street, from the east boundary line of South Volmer Street to the east boundary line of South Brown Street, West Nineteenth Street, from the east boundary line of South Volmer Street to the west bounder line of the alle which is immediately east of Lot Seven C7), Block Four (4T, and Lot Fourteen (14), Block One (1), Highland Park Addition; South Martin Street,f'rom the south boundary line of West Eighteenth Street to the south boundary lines of Lot Twenty -Two (22), Block Two (2), and Lot Three (3), Block One (1), Chesterfield Square Addition, as extended across said South Martin Street; all in Little Rock, Arkansas, have petitioned the Council of the City of Little Rook for the construction of said improvement and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property of said Dis- trict according to the benefits received; and, WHEREAS said benefits received by each and every block, lest T1 and parcel of real property situated in said District equals or ex- coeds the local assessment thereon; and, WHEREAS the estimated cost of said improvement is Sig Thousand Four Hundred Twenty -One Dollars ($6,421.00), exclusive of interest on bonds and exclusive of any aid by an agency of the United States Government; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, By the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: SECTION 1. That said several blocks, lots and parcels of real prop y,in said District be assessed according to the assms - list for said improvement district as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk, and that ten per centum (10%) of the asssias- ments on each of said blocks, lots and parcels shall be paid annually on or before the second day of September until the whole of said several assessments shall be paid.
