ORDINANCE NO. 5901
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO TAKE BIDS
FOR THE FURNISHING OF A TRACTOR AND A GANGMOWER FOR THE PARKS
MAINTAINED BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and the Board of Public Affairs are
hereby authorized and directed to advertise for and receive bids
for the furnishing of a tractor costing approximately $500.00 and
a gangmower costing approximately $350.00 (total cost approximately
$850.00) , for the parks maintained by the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, the present mowing equipment for
the parks maintained by the City of Little Rock is inadequate, and
WdEREAS, the approach of summer makes it imperative that adequate
provision be made for the mowing of said parks maintained by the
City of Little Rock, and it is necessary to obtain this equipment
immediately, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance is found to be necessary for the immediate preservation of
the public peace, health, and safety, and the same shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
