AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE VALUE OF BENEFITS TO BE RECEIVED
BY THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE SEVERAL BLOCKS, LOTS AND PARCELS
OF LAND LYIATG WITHIN STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NUMBER 532
AND CHANGING THE AMOUNT OF THE ANNUAL ASSESSMENTS ON EACH OF
SAID BLOCKS, LOTS AND PARCELS OF LAND IN SAID DISTRICT.
ORDAINED
BE IT)WOMM BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Whereas, the majority in value of the property
holders owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and
situated in District Number 532, organized for the purpose of
grading, curbing, guttering and paving Brown Street from the south
line of west twentieth Street to the south line of west twenty
second street, thence west in twenty second street a distance of
ems° -one hr red and forty two °feet, -have petitioned the 6ounci of
the Ci of Little Rock, Arkansas, for the construction of said
improvement,dtadtthat the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the
real property of said district according to benefits received,
and,
Whereas, said benefits received by each and every block,
lot and parcel of real property situated in said district equals
or exceeds the local assessment thereon, and,
Whereas, the estimated cost of said improvement is three
thousand five hundred dollars ($3,500.00)9 and,
: Whereas, a levy of ten per centum per annum as adopted
by ordinance number 58779 of April 22,1940,is hereby changed
to read as follows: that seven and one half (7) per centum
on each of said blocks, lots and pArcels of real property in
said district shall be paid annually on or before the first
day of July until the whole of said local assessments shall
be paid;
Therefore, it is now ordained by the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, that said several blocks, lots
and parcels of real property in said district be assessed acc-
ording to the assessment list for said improvement district
as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk, and
that seven and one halt per centum on each of said blocks, lots
and parcels shall be paid annually on or before the first day
of July until the whole of said local assessments shall be paid.
