AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 5829 PROVIDING FOR
THE SELECTION OF A BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE MANAGEMENT
AND CONTROL OF A MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY AND ANTIQUI-
TIES; PROVIDING FOR THE MEMBERSHIPOF THE BOARD; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
i ROCK, ARKABSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 5829 is here-
by amended to read as follows:
The exclusive management and control of said Museum
of Natural History and Antiquities is hereby vested in a
Board of Trustees to be composed of seven (7) members as
follows to -wit:
The Mayor of the City of Little Rock shall be ex-
officio member of said Board of Trustees. The other six
members and their respective terms of office shall be des-
ignated by the Mayor and confirmed by twe- thirds of the
members of the City Council.
Upon the expiration of the term of office of the
members hereinabove designated, the term of office of
the successors shall be for a period of six (6) years
and such elected shall be nominated by the Mayor and
confirmed by two - thirds of the members of the City
Council. Upon death, resignation or disqualification
of any Trustee, his successor shall be elected to fill
out the unexpired term of the Trustee succeeded.
SECTION 2• This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval.
