AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT N0. -� OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, rIRKANSAS
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of
more than two - thirds in assessed value of the property
located within the territory hereinafter described have
filed a petition praying that an improvement district
be established for the purpose hereinafter set out; and,
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law,
the City Council of the City, of Little Rock, Arkansas,
has heard all parties desiring to be heard, and has as-
certained that said petition was signed by more than two -
thirds in assessed value of the owners of real property
within said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. There is hereby established an Improve-
meat district embracing the following property:
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, of Block 3
Lots 8 to 13, inclusive, of Block 3
Lots 14 to 19, inclusive, of Block 2
Lots 21 to 26, inclusive, of Block 2
All in Chickasaw Place Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing, guttering,
and paving, in such a manner and with such materials as
the commissioners to be elected for the said improvement
district shall deem to be for the best interest of said
district, the following part of the following street in
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit:
Johnson Street from the South property line of
West 18th Street to the North property line of
West 20th Street,
and that the cost thereof, over and above any aid received
from any agency of the federal or city government, be as-

provided the liability of each lot or tract of land shall
be limited to its assessed benefits.
Said district shall be known as Street Improvement
District No. r)39 ; and B.F. Boals, N.B.Snight, and E.E,Pad-
gett are hereby named commissioners, who shall, compose the
Board of Improvement for said district.
Section 2 This ordinance shall take effect and be
In force from and after its passage.
