HomeMy WebLinkAbout5925t" I - I ORDINANCE NO. 5!925 AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE VALUE OF BENEFITS TO BE EC E IVED BY THE 01+',i llE RS OF EACH OF THE SEVERAL BLOCKS, LOTS AND PARCELS OF LAND WITHIN ANNEX NO. 1 TO STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 531, OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. i WHEREAS, more than a majority in value of the property holders owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated in Annex No. 1 to Street Improvement District No. 531, in the city of Little Rock, Arkansas, organized for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing, guttering, paving and otherwise improving the following described street, to -wit: Oak Street from the South boundary line of g'est 22nd Street to the North Bounda.y line of 1,11est 23rd i Street, in the City of Little Rock, .Arkansas; have petitioned the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Ark- ansas, for the construction of said improvements and that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property in said �- according to the benefits received; and VMREAS, said benefits received by each and every block, lot, and parcel of real property,railroad and railroad right -of- way situated in said annex equals or exceeds the local assessment thereon; and viHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is $1.200.00, exclusive of interest, and the assessed benefits amount _to $4,845.00; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDP.INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the several blocks,-lots-,, and parcels -, railroads, and railroad right -of -ways in said t�nnex No. 1 to Street Improvement District No. 531 of the City of Lithe Rock, Arkansas, be and they are hereby assessed according to the assessment list as the same now remains in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and as the same may be annually readjusted by the Board of Assessors, and blocks, lots and ?parcels of land, railroad, and railroad right- of-way shall be paid on or before the is t day of August, 1940, in each of the years 1940 to 1953, inclusive, until the whole of said assessment shall have been paid, or so much thereof as may be required to pay the debts of said district.
