AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET
IM<PROVEXENT DISTRICT NO. �c3_q.. OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more
than two- thirds in assessed value of the property located
within the territory hereinafter described have filed a pe-
tition praying that an improvement district be established
for the purpose hereinafter set out; and,
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the
City Council of the City of Little bock, Arkansas, has heard
all parties desiring to be heard,, and has ascertained that
said petition was signed by more than two- thirds in assess-
ed value of the owners of real property within said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. There is hereby established an improvement
district embracing the following described property:
Lots 1, 2, 3,10,11, and 12 of Block 22
Lots 7 to 12, inclusive, of Block 23
Lots 1 to 8, inclusive, of Block 25
All in Jones and Worthen Addition to
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Lots 3 to 11, inclusive, of Block 2
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, and 10 of Block 3
Lots 4 to 12, inclusive, of Block 5
Lots 14,15, and 16 of Block 9
All in C.& P. Johnson Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing, guttering, and
paving, in such a manner and with such materials as the com-
missioners to be elected for the said improvement district
shall deem to be for the best interest of said district, the
following parts of the following streets in the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, to -wit:
Johnson Street from its intersection with the South
property line, extended East, of Block 5 of C.& P.
Johnson Addition to the South property line of West
13th Street.
West 15th Street from its intersection with the West
property line, extended North, of Block 5 of C.& P.
Johnson Addition to the West property line of Booker
Street.
and that the cost thereof, over and above any aic: received from
any agency of the federal or city government, be assessed and
charged upon the real property above described, provided the
liability of each lot or tract of land shall be limited to its
assessed benefits,
Said district shall be known as Street Improvement
District No. 539 ; and H. Newman , W. F. Nhite_ s
and Mrs. T. B. Benton arc- hereby named commissioners, who
shall compose the Board of Improvement for said district.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
