AN ORDINANCE MAKING BRIDGE STREET FROM MAIN TO SCOTT
STREETS A ONE -WAY STREET; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR
VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; REPEALING ALL ORDIN-kNCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. From and after the passage and approval of this
Ordinance it shall be unlawful for any vehicle to use Bridge
Street from Main street to Scott street while traveling West,
and said Street shall be open only to traffic traveling East.
SECTION 2. Any person firm or corporation violating the
provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction in the Little Rock Municipal
Court shall be fined in any sum not less than One Dollar
t #1.00) or more than Five Dollars ( #5.00).
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. WHEREAS, much confusion and congestion has
resulted in traffic which moves across the Main Street Bridge
and this congestion causes great inconvenience to drivers of
vehicles, and,said situ$tion should be remedied immediately,
therefore an emergency is found to exist and this Ordinance
is found to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public peace, health and safety, and the game shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
